Artwork is included from established artists as well as younger artists from both Cincinnati and out-of-town. This creates a walkable, relaxed, urban environment where generally from 5:00pm to 12:00am in the evening one can connect with the arts community.
Final Friday is a unique, ongoing arts activity... see you there!
Final Friday found its origins in the Pendleton Arts Center in 1992 after Verdin bought the building from the city of Cincinnati for a mere ten dollars and offered up studio spaces for local artists. The Final Friday event evolved organically as more artists came to the building and desired regular exhibitions.
The tradition continues today, expanding outside of the Pendleton into a neighborhood arts event and gallery hop through Main Street galleries, the Art Academy of Cincinnati, Moerlein Tap Room, and many more.
What began as an idea among a small group of artists has blossomed and grown into a celebratory arts event for all to enjoy.
